You will soon see a new addition out front of the Discovery Center. A sign is being installed that shares with guests that Discovery Park is now an official Great River Road Interpretive Center. Join us on April 22, 2025 at 2 p.m. for an official ribbon cutting to launch this new relationship.

The Great River Road follows the Mississippi River for nearly 3,000 miles through 10 states, from northern Minnesota to far southern Louisiana. All along this All-American Road, guests find Interpretive Centers that tell the story of the river and its people, scenic overlooks, great local cuisine and more. The road is designated as both a National Scenic Byway and an All-American Road in several states along the route.
